§ 53561 Transit-Oriented Development Fund

Key Takeaways

  • •There is a special fund called the Transit-Oriented Development Implementation Fund in the state's money bank.
  • •The fund gets money from two places: money given by the state government and money from other sources.
  • •Any extra money the fund makes, like interest, stays in the fund.

Example

The state government gives $100,000 to the Transit-Oriented Development Implementation Fund. The fund also gets $50,000 from a private company that wants to help build near train stations.

The fund now has $150,000. If the fund makes $5,000 in interest, that money stays in the fund too.
