§ 50223 Program Performance Reporting Requirements

Key Takeaways

  • •If you get money from this program, you must send yearly updates on how you're doing with your goals by April 1.
  • •If you're not doing well, you have to explain why and how you plan to fix it. You might also get extra help or rules on how to spend the money.
  • •You must send a monthly report showing how you spent the money.
  • •At the end of the program, you have to send a final report with all the details of how you used the money.

Example

A city gets money to build more affordable houses. After one year, they only built 10 houses instead of the 50 they promised.

The city must tell the state why they didn’t build enough houses (maybe construction was too expensive) and how they’ll fix it (like finding cheaper materials). They also have to send monthly reports on how they’re spending the money. If they keep failing, the state might tell them how they can or can’t spend the money.
