§ 4758 District Work Plan Compliance

• •If a district board approves a plan for work, the work must follow that plan exactly.
• •The board can change the plan only if 4 out of 5 members agree.
• •If they change the plan, they must explain exactly how it will be different.

A school district approves a plan to build a new playground with swings, slides, and a sandbox. Later, they want to add a basketball court instead of the sandbox.

The board must vote, and at least 4 out of 5 members must agree to change the plan. They also have to write down exactly what they’re changing (removing the sandbox and adding a basketball court).
