§ 43645 Pollution Device Certification Notice

Key Takeaways

  • •The state checks and approves special devices that help cars pollute less.
  • •When a device is approved, the state tells the DMV, the highway patrol, and another office about it.
  • •This is to make sure everyone knows which devices are okay to use on cars.

Example

You buy a new part for your car that is supposed to make it release less smoke.

The state checks if this part really works. If it does, they tell the DMV and the police so they know it's a good part to use.
