§ 43008 Vehicle Pollution Control Devices

Key Takeaways

  • •Cars must have special parts to stop bad air from coming out.
  • •These parts are needed because of a big rule from the government.
  • •If your car is supposed to have these parts, you can't take them off.

Example

If you own a car made in 2010, it probably has a part called a catalytic converter.

This part helps clean the air by making the bad stuff from the car's exhaust less harmful. The law says you must keep this part on your car.
