§ 42367 Permit Requirement Exceptions

Key Takeaways

  • •You can't get special permission to skip the rules for building or changing machines or equipment.
  • •If the law says you need a permit to build or fix something, you must get that permit—no exceptions.
  • •This rule applies to all kinds of machines, tools, or equipment.

Example

You want to add a new machine to your factory to make things faster.

Even if you think the machine is safe, you still need to get a permit first. You can't just skip the permit and hope it's okay.
