§ 41266 Mojave Desert Employee Certification

Key Takeaways

  • •If you worked in a similar or higher job at the San Bernardino County Air Pollution Control District, you might get a job in the Mojave Desert district without taking a test.
  • •The civil service commission can say you're qualified for the job if your old job was like the new one.
  • •This only works if the Mojave Desert district's boss (APCO) asks for it.

Example

Imagine you worked as an air quality inspector in San Bernardino County. There's an open job for the same role in the Mojave Desert district.

Instead of taking a test, your old job experience can help you get the new job if the Mojave Desert district's boss asks the commission to approve you.
