§ 41010 Sacramento Air Quality Rules

Key Takeaways

  • •The Sacramento board makes rules to keep the air clean, but these rules can't break state or federal laws.
  • •New or changed pollution sources must use the best technology to reduce pollution.
  • •Old pollution sources must update their technology to reduce pollution as much as possible.
  • •Old rules stay in place until the board changes or replaces them.

Example

A factory in Sacramento wants to add a new machine that might pollute the air.

The factory must use the best technology available to make sure the new machine doesn't pollute the air too much. If they don't, they could get in trouble with the Sacramento board.
