§ 40506 South Coast Permit Fees

Key Takeaways

  • •The south coast district board makes rules for giving out permits for building or using certain machines or equipment.
  • •They also set fees for applying for permits, changing them, or renewing them every year.
  • •Everyone, even government-owned companies, has to pay these fees.

Example

A company wants to build a new factory with big machines that might pollute the air.

The company must ask the south coast district board for a permit to build and use these machines. They will have to pay a fee to apply for the permit and another fee every year to keep it. If they don’t pay, they can’t legally run the factory.
