§ 39051 Air Pollution Compliance Timeline

Key Takeaways

  • •Big factories or places that pollute the air must follow a step-by-step plan to clean up their act.
  • •The plan must include important dates, like when they’ll submit their cleanup plan, start building new equipment, and finish the work.
  • •They have to show when they’ll finally meet the clean air rules.
  • •The plan helps the government check if they’re doing things on time.

Example

A big factory is releasing too much smoke into the air.

The factory must make a timeline showing when they’ll submit their cleanup plan, when they’ll start building new equipment to reduce smoke, and when they’ll finish. They also have to say when they’ll fully follow the clean air rules. If they don’t stick to the timeline, they can get in trouble.
