§ 34245 Authority Termination And Revival

Key Takeaways

  • •If a group created by the government does nothing for 2 years, the government can shut it down.
  • •The government can say the group’s jobs are empty and no one is in charge anymore.
  • •Later, if the government thinks the group is needed again, they can start it up.

Example

A city creates a group to fix potholes, but the group never meets or does any work for 2 years.

The city can pass a rule to close the group and say no one is in charge. If later, potholes become a big problem again, the city can decide to restart the group.
