§ 17052 Employee Housing Inspections

Key Takeaways

  • •The government checks employee housing every year to make sure it's safe and follows the rules.
  • •Some houses don't get checked every year: single-family homes with special permission, houses with a long-term permit, empty houses, or houses that passed last year's check with no problems.
  • •They try to check the houses before anyone moves in.

Example

A farm has small houses for workers to live in.

The government will come once a year to check if the houses are safe and clean. If the houses were fine last year and no one complained, they might only check every two years.
