§ 1335 Department Licensing Authority

Key Takeaways

  • •The state can make rules to manage this law.
  • •The state can still pause licenses or make deals with places that take care of people for a long time.
  • •The state can't get involved in fights between workers and bosses.

Example

A nursing home is not following safety rules.

The state can make new rules to fix this or even pause the nursing home's license until they follow the rules. But if the workers are fighting with the boss about pay, the state can't step in.
