§ 13201 Drycleaning Plant Safety Standards

Key Takeaways

  • •Dry cleaning shops must follow the state's building safety rules.
  • •The State Fire Marshal makes extra rules to keep these shops safe from fires and other dangers.
  • •Local cities or towns can make even stricter rules if they want.

Example

A dry cleaning shop opens in a small town.

The shop must follow the state's safety rules for buildings, like having fire exits and safe wiring. The State Fire Marshal might also say they need fire extinguishers or special storage for chemicals. If the town thinks the state rules aren't strict enough, they can add more rules, like requiring extra fire alarms.
