§ 129830 Construction Progress Verification Reports

Key Takeaways

  • •People in charge of building or fixing things must check the work often and write reports to say everything is done right.
  • •The person who designs the building (architect) must visit the site sometimes and ask others about the work to make sure it’s going well.
  • •The inspector must watch the work all the time and check everything to make sure it follows the rules.
  • •The builder (contractor) must know what’s happening on the site and make sure everything is built correctly.

Example

A school is being built, and the architect visits the site once a week to check on the work.

The architect must write a report saying the walls, windows, and other parts are built the right way. If the architect doesn’t visit or check, they could get in trouble for not doing their job.
