§ 127462 Emergency Physician Charge Schedule Rules

• •If a rule in this law makes the federal government say an emergency doctor’s usual prices aren’t normal, that rule doesn’t apply to any emergency doctors.
• •The state health department has to ask the federal government how to change that rule so it works better.
• •All other rules in this law still apply.

A hospital has a rule that says emergency doctors must charge the same price for a service as other doctors in the area. But the federal government says the emergency doctor’s usual price is higher than normal.

Because of this law, the rule about matching prices doesn’t apply to that emergency doctor. The state health department has to ask the federal government how to fix the rule. All other hospital rules still apply.
