§ 12606 License Revocation Time Limit

Key Takeaways

  • •If someone does something wrong when applying for a fire license or already has one, the State Fire Marshal has to start the process to punish them within 3 years.
  • •After 3 years, they can't punish you for that mistake anymore.
  • •This rule is about making sure old mistakes don't follow people forever.

Example

A firefighter lies on their license application about their past work experience.

The State Fire Marshal has 3 years to find out and take action. If they don’t catch it in time, they can’t punish the firefighter for it later.
