§ 12080 Explosives Classification And Transport

Key Takeaways

  • •You can't sell, give away, or move any explosive unless it's been officially checked and approved.
  • •If you really need to move an unchecked explosive, you can ask the State Fire Marshal for permission, but they have to make sure it's safe first.
  • •Even if you get permission, you still have to follow all the other rules about explosives.

Example

You find some old fireworks in your grandpa's garage and want to take them to a friend's house.

You can't just take them or give them away because they might not be safe. You have to ask the State Fire Marshal first, and they'll decide if it's okay.
