§ 11788 Department Contracting Authority

• •The government can hire other groups (public or private) to do their job if they get permission from the Health and Human Services boss.
• •Other state departments can also make these deals.
• •This is about getting help to do the work the government is supposed to do.

The government needs help giving out food to people who need it.

Instead of doing all the work themselves, they can ask a charity or another company to help hand out the food, but only if the Health and Human Services boss says it's okay.
