§ 107160 Nuclear Medicine Technology Fees

This law says the department must set a fee schedule for people who want to prove they can do nuclear medicine technology, and the fees have to cover the department’s costs; the fees are updated every year and rounded to the nearest whole dollar.

Key Takeaways

  • •The department must create a fee schedule by regulation for competence applicants.
  • •All fees collected must be enough to cover the department’s administration costs.
  • •Fees are adjusted each year according to Section 100425 and are rounded to the nearest whole dollar.

Example

Jane wants to become a certified nuclear medicine technologist, so she applies and pays the fee that the department has set for the year.

Jane’s payment goes to cover the department’s costs for handling her application, and next year the fee might be a little higher or lower because the law requires the fee to be adjusted annually and rounded to a whole dollar amount.
