§ 104510 Tobacco Disease Research Funding

This law defines important terms for research funding in California, like who can get money and what kinds of diseases and research are covered.

Key Takeaways

  • •The law lists who can get research money (like hospitals, universities, and scientists).
  • •It explains what 'tobacco-related diseases' include (like heart disease, cancer, and lung problems).
  • •It says what kinds of research can get funding (like medical, social, or policy research on tobacco).

Example

A scientist at UCLA wants money to study how smoking causes lung cancer.
