§ 101330 Annual Fee Assessment List

Each year the officer in charge must make a list of all land that owes certain fees by August and send it to the county auditor by August 10, who then adds those fees to the property tax records.

Key Takeaways

  • •The officer must finish the fee list by the end of August each year.
  • •The list must be sent to the county auditor by August 10.
  • •The auditor then records the fees on the official property tax roll.

Example

A homeowner discovers an extra charge on his property tax bill for the upcoming year.

The officer had already listed the homeowner's land on the fee list before August and sent it to the auditor, so the auditor added the fee to the homeowner's tax bill.
