§ 100855 Laboratory Certification Denial Notice

• •The board must notify the applicant immediately after a denial.
• •Notification must be sent by certified mail with a return receipt.
• •The notice must include the reasons for the denial.
• •The lab owner can request a reconsideration of the decision under Section 116701.

A laboratory applies for ELAP certification, gets a denial, and receives a certified mail notice that lists the reasons for the denial.

The lab gets the letter right away, sees why it was denied, and then can file a petition to have the decision looked at again under Section 116701.
