§ 6254 District Fiscal Year

• •The fiscal year normally runs from July 1 to June 30.

A local water district must plan its budget and expenses for the period starting July 1 and ending June 30.

Because of this statute, the water district's budget must be prepared to start on July 1 and finish on June 30, unless the county board of supervisors gives permission to use different dates.
