§ 6035 Harbor District Formation Ballot

This law explains how to fill out a ballot for voting on creating a harbor district and choosing harbor commissioners. It tells you how to vote correctly and what mistakes can ruin your ballot.

Key Takeaways

  • •Mark your vote clearly next to 'For' or 'Against' the harbor district.
  • •Don’t scribble, tear, or make extra marks on the ballot—it won’t count.
  • •If you mess up, ask for a new ballot.

Example

You go to vote on whether your town should create a harbor district and choose people to run it.

You must mark your vote clearly next to 'For' or 'Against' the harbor district. If you scribble, tear, or mark the ballot wrong, it won’t count, and you’ll need to ask for a new one.
