§ 5944 Harbor Land Acquisition Approval

This law says that if a group of people (the board) thinks a project to buy, fix up, or take care of land near a harbor is a good idea and not too expensive, they can go ahead with it.

Key Takeaways

  • •A board reviews a report about a harbor project.
  • •They check if the project is worth the cost.
  • •If it is, they can approve buying, improving, or maintaining the land.

Example

A small town wants to buy land near their harbor to build a new park.

The town's board looks at a report about the land and decides if buying it and turning it into a park is worth the money. If they think it's a good deal, they can approve the project.
