§ 72710 Court Reporter Payment Fund

• •If a court orders it, temporary court reporters get paid from a special fund called the Reporter’s Salary Fund.
• •This rule was added in 2002 and started being used in 2003.

A court needs an extra reporter for a big trial but doesn’t have enough staff.

The judge can order that the temporary reporter’s daily pay and benefits come from the Reporter’s Salary Fund.
