§ 55083 Local Sewer Cost Agreements

Key Takeaways

  • •Local governments can agree to pay their share of the cost for building and maintaining big sewer pipes.
  • •They can decide when and how much to pay over time, like paying in small parts instead of all at once.
  • •This helps cities and towns work together to handle sewage without one place paying for everything.

Example

Three small towns need a big sewer pipe to carry waste away. They agree to share the cost.

Each town pays a part of the total cost over time, like splitting a big bill into smaller monthly payments.
