§ 54033 Public Property Use Permit

Key Takeaways

  • •The government can let people use its property if it helps the public.
  • •They decide if it's needed or makes things easier for everyone.
  • •The use must match why the property was bought in the first place.

Example

A city owns an empty lot and lets people use it for a weekend farmers market.

The city can do this because the market helps the public and fits with why the lot was bought (like for community use).
