§ 53912 School District Payment Authorization

Key Takeaways

  • •If a school or local government has money, they can pay bills without writing a special paper (warrant).
  • •They can pay by check or online transfer instead.
  • •They must keep records of these payments, just like they would for the special paper.

Example

A school needs to pay for new books for the library.

If the school has the money, they can just write a check or send the money online instead of filling out a special paper first. They still have to write down what they paid for, just like always.
