§ 50703 Project Cost And Feasibility Report

Key Takeaways

  • •Before starting a big project (like building a park or a road), the local government must make a detailed report about it.
  • •The report must include how much the project will cost, where the money will come from, and how much it will cost to keep it running later.
  • •The government pays for the cost of making this report using its own money.

Example

A city wants to build a new community swimming pool.

Before they start building, they must write a report that says how much it will cost to build the pool, where the money will come from (like taxes or fees), and how much it will cost to keep the pool clean and open every year. The city will pay for the cost of making this report.
