§ 3201 Public Employee Political Activities

Key Takeaways

  • •This law is about rules for government workers doing political stuff.
  • •The state makes the rules, not cities or counties, unless Section 3207 says otherwise.
  • •It’s important because it affects all government workers in the state.

Example

A teacher wants to campaign for a local politician during work hours.

The state’s rules decide if the teacher can do this, not the city or school’s rules.
