§ 31574 Sewer District Retirement Transfer

Key Takeaways

  • •The Sacramento Area Sewer District can take over the retirement money and debts for its workers from the County of Sacramento.
  • •This includes all workers, even if they are retired or no longer working there.
  • •Both the county and the sewer district must agree on the date this change happens.

Example

Imagine you work for the sewer district and are part of the county’s retirement plan.

Now, the sewer district will handle your retirement money instead of the county, even if you’re already retired.
