§ 26507 Joint Civil Prosecution Authority

Key Takeaways

  • •Prosecutors from different cities or counties can team up to handle a case.
  • •They can work together even if the case is in another city or county.
  • •This helps when a case affects more than one place.

Example

A big company is polluting a river that flows through two counties.

The prosecutors from both counties can work together to sue the company, even if the case is in just one county's court.
