§ 26326 Bond Revenue Trust Requirements

Key Takeaways

  • •This law lets a group (like a city or school) make a rule about money they promise to pay back for bonds.
  • •The rule says they must keep the money safe in a special account just for paying back the bonds.
  • •They can only use this money the way they promised when they borrowed it.

Example

A city borrows money to build a new park and promises to pay it back using park ticket sales.

The city must put all the ticket money in a special account and can only use it to pay back the loan, not for other things like fixing roads.
