§ 25622 County Forestry Board Appointment

Key Takeaways

  • •If a county has a planning group, they can also make a forestry group.
  • •The same people can be in both groups.
  • •The forestry group does everything a forestry board does, except they don’t handle fires.

Example

A county has a planning group that decides where new parks go. They also want a group to take care of the trees and forests.

The county can just make the planning group also be the forestry group. These people will take care of the forests but won’t be in charge of putting out fires.
