§ 25505 District Property Disposal Authority

• •If the law allows, a special district can sell or get rid of stuff it owns (like old computers or cars).
• •The money from selling the stuff goes into the district's money box (treasury).
• •If they trade the old stuff for new stuff, the extra money (if any) goes back to the district.

A school district has old buses they don’t use anymore.

The district can sell the old buses and put the money into their treasury. If they trade the old buses for new ones and get some money back, that money also goes to the district.
