§ 25265 County Financial Services Contracts

Key Takeaways

  • •If a school or special district needs extra money help (like more checks or account updates) from the county, they can ask for it.
  • •The county can say yes and make a deal to do the extra work, but the school or district has to pay for it.
  • •The school or district can’t get the extra help for free—they must use their own money to pay the county.

Example

A small school district needs the county to write and send out more checks every month because they’re building a new playground.

The school can ask the county to do this extra work, and if the county agrees, the school has to pay for it from their own budget.
