§ 20282 Military Personnel Retirement Membership

Key Takeaways

  • •If you work full-time for the Adjutant General's office after October 1, 1961, you get retirement benefits like other state workers.
  • •The usual military retirement rules don’t apply to these workers.
  • •This rule doesn’t cover the Adjutant General or Assistant Adjutant General—they have different rules.

Example

A soldier starts working full-time at the Adjutant General’s office in 2020.

This soldier will get the same retirement benefits as other state employees, not the military retirement benefits.
