§ 17202 State Warrant Investment Authority

Key Takeaways

  • •The state's official money promises (called warrants) are safe to invest in.
  • •Banks, insurance companies, and even local governments can use these warrants as a safe place to put their money.
  • •It’s like saying these warrants are as good as cash for big groups that handle lots of money.

Example

A local school district has extra money it doesn’t need right now.

Instead of just leaving the money in a regular bank account, the school district can buy the state’s warrants. This way, they know their money is safe and they might even earn a little extra.
