§ 14960 State Building Construction Fund

Key Takeaways

  • •The state can take up to $500,000 from a special fund (Architecture Revolving Fund) without showing receipts first.
  • •This money can only be used for building, fixing, or improving state buildings.
  • •The money is like a loan—it gets paid back later so it can be used again for the same things.

Example

The state needs to fix a leaky roof on a school building right away.

The state can take up to $500,000 from the fund to pay for the repairs quickly, even if they don’t have all the receipts ready yet. Later, they’ll pay the money back into the fund so it’s ready for the next project.
