§ 14697 Public Works Board Exemption

Key Takeaways

  • •The State Public Works Board is not in charge of checking environmental rules for certain projects.
  • •This rule was already in place before, but this section makes it clear.
  • •Other groups must handle the environmental checks for these projects.

Example

If the State Public Works Board is building a new road, they don’t have to make sure it follows environmental rules.

Another group must check if the road might hurt animals or plants. The Board just builds it.
