§ 12765 Farmworker Self-Sufficiency Assistance

The purpose of this article is to assist migrant and seasonal farmworkers and their families to achieve a greater degree of self-sufficiency within or outside the agricultural industry, or both, including, but not limited to: skills training and increasing employment stability; economic development activities that will continue to provide grantees with revenue to provide necessary services to the farmworker poor; and program assistance services, as specified in Section 12767, with highest priority given to the support of program activities with the greatest potential for successfully promoting self-sufficiency. (Added by Stats. 1983, 1st Ex. Sess., Ch. 4, Sec. 3. Effective October 18, 1983. Repealed conditionally as prescribed by Section 12790.)
