§ 12522 Attorney General Biennial Report

Key Takeaways

  • •The Attorney General must send a report to the Governor every two years.
  • •The report is due by September 15th in even-numbered years (like 2024, 2026).
  • •The report talks about what’s happening in the Attorney General’s office and what they’ve heard from local district attorneys.

Example

Imagine the Attorney General is like the boss of all the lawyers for the state. Every two years, they have to write a big report card about their office and what the local lawyers (district attorneys) are doing.

If the Attorney General doesn’t send this report by September 15, 2024, they’re breaking the rule. It’s like forgetting to turn in your homework on time.
