§ 50311 Mortgage Commitments After License Suspension

Key Takeaways

  • •If a mortgage lender's license is taken away, they can still finish loans they already promised to do before losing their license.
  • •If you were going to get a loan from a lender who lost their license, you can cancel the deal and get all your money back before the loan is finalized.

Example

You applied for a home loan from a lender, and they approved it. But before the loan is finalized, the lender loses their license.

The lender can still give you the loan because they promised it before losing their license. But if you don’t want the loan anymore, you can cancel it and get all your money back.
