§ 4952 Conversion Certificate Evidence

Key Takeaways

  • •After a bank changes its type (like from a small bank to a big bank), the government gives a paper saying it happened.
  • •This paper proves the change was done right and is official.
  • •If someone buys something from the bank or lends money to it, they can trust this paper as proof.

Example

Your local credit union becomes a big bank.

The government gives a paper saying the credit union is now a big bank. If you lend money to the new bank, you can trust this paper as proof that everything was done correctly.
