§ 31153 Parent Subsidiary Compliance Agreement

• •If you want a special license, your company and any companies that own or are owned by your company must promise to follow the rules.
• •If a company becomes the owner or gets owned by a company that already has the license, they have 30 days to make the same promise.
• •The promise must be given to the person in charge (the commissioner) in the way they ask for.

A small delivery company wants to get a license to transport goods across the state.

Before they can get the license, the delivery company and its parent company (the bigger company that owns it) must promise to follow all the rules set by the state. If later, the delivery company buys a smaller company, that smaller company has 30 days to make the same promise to the commissioner.
