§ 30602 Securities Depository Reporting Penalties

Key Takeaways

  • •If a place that holds stocks or bonds doesn't send a required report on time, they can get in trouble.
  • •If they don't pay a fee they owe within 10 days after being told to pay, they can also get in trouble.
  • •The punishment can be losing their license or getting an order from the boss (commissioner).

Example

A company that stores stocks for people forgets to send a report about their work to the government.

If they don’t send the report within 10 days, even after being reminded, the government can take away their license or give them a strict order to fix it.
