§ 23074 Department Property Transfer Authority

Key Takeaways

  • •The Department of Financial Protection and Innovation now controls all the stuff (like records, money, and property) that the Department of Justice used to have for certain jobs.
  • •This includes things like criminal history info, licenses, contracts, and even land.
  • •This change happened because some jobs moved from the Department of Justice to the Department of Financial Protection and Innovation.

Example

Imagine the Department of Justice had a big filing cabinet full of important papers and some money set aside for a special project.

Now, that filing cabinet and the money are given to the Department of Financial Protection and Innovation because they are taking over that project.
