§ 1473 Bank Investment Exemptions

This law says that rules about bank investments that were approved before January 1, 2009, no longer apply, and those approvals are now ended.

Key Takeaways

  • •Investments made before Jan 1, 2009 are exempt from sections 1481 and 1510.
  • •Any approvals given before that date are now terminated.
  • •The rule change took effect on Jan 1, 2014.

Example

A bank made an investment in 2008 that needed special approval from the state regulator.

Because the investment happened before January 1, 2009, the old rules don't apply anymore, and the earlier approval is considered cancelled.
